SoldComps ("we", "us", "our") is an eBay sold listings data API operated by an independent developer. We provide real-time sold listing data via our API at api.sold-comps.com and our landing page at sold-comps.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect minimal data necessary to operate the service:

• Account information — email address and name when you create a SoldComps account.
• IP address — automatically collected on each API request for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Retained for 90 days.
• Search queries — keywords searched in the live demo are logged for debugging and are not shared with third parties.
• API usage data — request counts, timestamps, and subscription details associated with your account.
• Payment information — processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe retains billing details per their privacy policy.

3. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and API keys.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To enforce rate limits on API requests and the free demo (5/day, 20/month per IP).
• To detect and block abusive usage patterns.
• To understand how the product is used so we can improve it.
• To respond to support requests you send us directly.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-party services

• Stripe — processes payments and manages subscriptions. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
• RapidAPI — if you access the API through RapidAPI, your usage data is also subject to RapidAPI's privacy policy.
• Mailgun — used to send transactional emails (password resets, data exports). Subject to Mailgun's privacy policy.
• Railway — our API and database are hosted on Railway. Data is stored in PostgreSQL on Railway infrastructure.

5. Data retention

• IP rate-limit records are automatically deleted after 90 days of inactivity.
• Account data is retained until you delete your account or request deletion.
• API usage logs are retained for up to 12 months for billing and abuse investigation purposes.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels. The site uses session cookies for authentication. No third-party analytics cookies are used.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
