SoldComps

Terms of Service

Last updated: April 4, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the SoldComps API or website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by SoldComps ("we", "us", "our"). Questions can be directed to [email protected].

2. Description of service

SoldComps provides an API that returns historical sold listing data sourced from publicly available eBay search results. Each API request returns up to 240 sold listings including price, date sold, seller information, shipping cost, and item condition.

Data is fetched in real time from eBay's public-facing sold listings pages. We do not access private eBay data, seller accounts, or buyer information.

3. Permitted use

You may use the Service to:

  • Research and analyze sold prices for resale, purchasing, or inventory decisions.
  • Build internal pricing tools, dashboards, or applications for your own business.
  • Power third-party products or services, provided you comply with these Terms.

4. Prohibited use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Resell or redistribute raw API response data as a standalone data product without written permission.
  • Scrape, mirror, or cache data at a scale that violates eBay's own terms of service.
  • Engage in price manipulation, market distortion, or anti-competitive practices.
  • Reverse-engineer the API infrastructure, attempt to bypass rate limits, or access endpoints without authorization.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
  • Share your API credentials with unauthorized third parties.

5. Rate limits and quotas

All plans are subject to request rate limits and monthly quotas as defined at the time of subscription. Exceeding your quota will result in requests being rejected with a 429 response until the quota resets or an overage rate applies, depending on your plan.

The free demo on our landing page is limited to 5 searches per IP address per day and 20 per month. These limits exist to prevent abuse and ensure fair access.

6. Billing and payment

Paid plans are available directly through SoldComps (processed by Stripe) or through RapidAPI. Subscriptions are billed monthly. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Overage charges apply when your monthly request quota is exceeded, billed at the rate specified on your plan.

You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from your dashboard. We reserve the right to modify pricing with at least 14 days' notice to active subscribers.

7. Data accuracy and disclaimer

Data returned by the API is sourced from publicly available eBay sold listing pages. While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantee that the data is complete, current, or error-free. eBay may change its website structure at any time, which could temporarily affect data availability or accuracy.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoldComps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.

9. Uptime and availability

We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, upstream provider outages, or eBay structural changes may cause temporary unavailability. We will communicate planned downtime where possible.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms, attempt to abuse the system, or engage in behavior that damages the Service or other users. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard or through RapidAPI.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration.
